• 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 package of Archer Farms bacon cheddar seasoning (or spices of your choice)
  • 3/4 cup shredded cheddar
  • 8 strips of bacon
  • whole wheat buns
  • lettuce
  • barbeque sauce

This is not something I would typically make for dinner. I don’t eat much red meat and I don’t normally crave burgers. Yet, I was intrigued when my boyfriend showed me some online video. I promised that I would make it for him, not intending to eat it myself. After a long day at work, I decided that I deserved some stick to your ribs kind of food. I have to admit this was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. So FLAVORFUL! It must have been the cheddar bacon seasoning that I added to the meat. I served it on whole a whole wheat bun with a side of Alexia Sweet Potato Waffle Fries.

Directions:

Mix seasoning into meat until combined. I found this at Target.

Divide meat into 4 equal parts. Divide each of these parts into two and form a bowl around desired amount of shredded cheese. Press the ball into a patty. I pressed the extra cheese into the outside of the burger.

Wrap each burger with two pieces of good quality bacon. If you’re feeling ambitious, go ahead and add a third piece.

If you have an accessible grill, I would recommend taking advantage of it. If you don’t, I like to pan fry it for about 2 minutes on each side and then stick it under the broiler until it’s cooked to your preferred temperature. This gets the bacon nice and crispy.

Top it off with some barbeque sauce, lettuce and tomato. I highly recommend any type of Alexia french fries. They’re all natural so you can be assured there’s no hidden trans fat or chemicals.

So juicy and full of flavor! Treat yourself sometime.
