I recently moved into a new apartment community at the Irvine Spectrum and I love everything about it: the 2 olympic sized pools, the Weber grills and patio furniture dispersed all over the property, the up to date gym and of course the proximity to The Irvine Spectrum Center, which is the most beautiful outdoor mall that I have ever seen. I literally live in my definition of paradise. One of the best parts of the Spectrum is the variety of restaurants. After hearing all the rave reviews about Javier’s, I had to try it for myself. Javier’s completely exceeded my expectations. I am not lying when I say it is the best Mexican food I have ever had. The first time I went with Romain and his parents and then again just last week with our new friends from our apartment complex, Baylee and Ante. When a restaurant is super crowded on a Wednesday night, you know the food must be good. Both times I ordered the shrimp and crab enchiladas because they were just so good. I also tried Romain’s beef taco, chicken enchilada, and pork tamale combo and his dish was not only enormous but also really tasty. They have a great cocktail selection and I was pleasantly surprised by the cucumber margarita that Baylee and Ante recommended. It was so refreshing! There menu is a bit pricey, but it’s Javier’s is perfect for a special occasion.
